In mid April, the B-Hive enjoyed a super fun trip to Disney World, thanks to Mimi!! And, we got to share this memorable experience with Cousin Koa, Auntie Joey, and Mimi!!
It is not surprising at all that I ended up with a kazillion pictures, but I tried to narrow them down as much as I could for this post without omitting too many of the memorable ones.
One of the ways we started out every adventure was on a bus ride. The boys loved the fact that they were sitting in a moving vehicle without seatbelts, and their minds were filled with the exciting anticipation of what the day's adventures might bring...
Our first day was spent at Magic Kingdom where the boys were almost overwhelmed with disney characters and sights and rides and lines and people. It was hard to know which direction to go first, there were so many neat things to see.
Probably some of the favorites of this day were the Buzz Lightyear ride, "It's a Small World", and Splash Mountain...
The Carousel was also a big hit, especially with Jack who did NOT want to get off...
Poor Jack. He was such a trooper and basically just had to nap on the go...
On Day two our destination was Animal Kingdom where we got to go on a really cool safari and see all kinds of exotic animals. This was quite an adventure! Another favorite of that day was our yummy and fun lunch at Rainforest Cafe...
Epcot was our destination on day three. This place had a lot of really fun and low-key boat rides, a really awesome hang-gliding ride, neat character topiaries to look at everywhere we turned, and the Finding Nemo adventure...
One of the things the boys especially enjoyed every night was swimming in the pool. In fact, they asked at almost every park how much longer it would be until they could go back to the room and swim. Paul was great to get in and swim with them every night...
One of the nights we took a second bus trip to Downtown Disney. This was a fun place full of shopping and restaurants. Our dinner was especially yummy, and the boys really liked all of the Disney Stores and the huge Lego store...
Koa was really sweet with Jack, always hugging and playing with him...
Jack was also mesmerized by Auntie Joey. He loved for her to hold him and he would just snuggle in on her shoulder. It was too sweet!
Our last big adventure at Disney World was spent at Hollywood Studios. This place was also really cool, particularly the Star Wars adventure, the Indiana Jones show, the Car Stunt show, and enjoying (and lamenting over a little) our last fun day together...
My boys really loved the novelty of staying in a hotel--they thought this was really quite neat, and since we've been home they have asked me on several occasions when we can stay at a hotel again. Here are some cute pictures of them snuggling up on the beds...
Before we knew it, it was time to head home. This was a sad day for all of us as we (the boys in particular) could have stayed and played and played at this magical place for a lot longer...
We had such an amazing time on this trip and will always cherish the memories of being together with our family!
