Holy cow that this little wrecking ball of energy is now more than half way into his first decade of life. Six years seems like such a long time, only it doesn't seem like he was little long enough for that much time to pass. He wasn't very little for very long. This is the kid who learned to ride a two-wheeler before the age of 3 and was riding a dirt bike at the age of 3. This rambunctious, loud, cuddly and sweet little score-keeper of the family definitely brings the energy and charisma to the B-Hive. He also brings the teasing and silliness and singing and drawing and laughter and brightness. Did I mention how sweet he is? Oh my goodness I love him so much!
Sam's cuteness deserves a look back to birthdays past…
Birth...

#3… These pics make me chuckle because his mannerisms are just what they are today--three years later!
#4…Partied too hard at water slide party so now we need a Nebulizer birthday...

and #6! This is how he was sleeping--in my bed--the morning of his 6th birthday...
Since we have fresh paint on everything now there is no where to tape up decorations and balloons. Except the ugly old banister. So I make a crepe paper blockade with balloons for the boys to burst through on their birthdays. They think it is kinda fun. At least it's a little bit festive!
Of course we have to get right to the important business of opening presents--even though daddy is away on a business trip. Sammy loved his new shirt and very own pogo stick...
Birthday night cake and extension birthday cake the following night since daddy was away on the actual day...
The weekend of Sam's birthday we took a little trip down to Baltimore to the National Aquarium. The boys are super into sharks and it was fun to see these as well as the other marine creatures at this wonderful aquarium. We went to Ruth's Chris for dinner afterward. Fancy, fanciness for these awesome boys on birthdays!
