The installation of the countertops was so exciting! We love the contrast of our leathered black antiqued granite against the white cabinetry...

This is a picture of me with Sharon, the Designer, and Stacey, the project manager from Chester County Kitchen and Bath (the shop we used to do our kitchen). Both women were beyond amazing to work with and helped ensure our project ran smoothly and to our satisfaction...
After many, many weeks, we finally got to cook (and eat) in our new kitchen!!! We hadn't moved into it yet, but we were so excited to finally use it.
Just when we thought we were done with all the moving of furniture, and dust and fumes, we had to uproot ourselves one last time. All of the furniture that we had stored in the living and dining rooms had to be moved over to the "new" side of the house so that the floor on the living/dining room side could be refinished. We continued to live like this for over a week as we slowly moved into the new kitchen...
Remember the old color of the living room (Paul LOVED this color)...
I somehow convinced him to let us change it. He begrudgingly agreed...
I really like the new color--SW Languid Blue. It makes the room feel so open and bright and clean. Paul did not like the change, however, so we have changed it again. I will post the new color in the next installment!
After we got all of the furniture moved back into its place, the fireplace construction began. This particular project was a headache and a nightmare and a big load of stress for something so comparatively small...
But it turned out gorgeous!!!
