Aside from birthday parties, Dewey Beach and getting ready for school, we managed to squeeze a bunch of other fun things in during the month of August.
New school shoes!
Munching on fresh veggies at a friend's house...
My own harvest of fresh veggies (which primarily consisted of tomatoes with a few cucumbers and zucchini here and there)...
Sam has perfected the cartwheel. I am a little jealous as this is something I could never do and he just taught himself...
Max is a maniac on the pogo stick. He can bounce like a thousand times without stopping and can do some wicked tricks and jumps...
Cool kids...
We went to a birthday party at our neighbor's house where they brought a horse in for the kids to ride. The owner of the horse just led each kid around the yard once and then it was the next kid's turn. I don't know how fun this was for my boys as we had just returned a bit ago from Utah where they were riding the horses all by themselves. Sam tried really hard to convince the owner to just let him have the reigns and ride, but to no avail (they only had a harness, not a bridle). At least we got some cute pictures!

For some reason the boys like to lay on the rugs in my bathroom while I get ready...
We did a lot more swimming at both the neighbor's pool and at the Y...
And, we had a lot of fun outdoors--both at the park and in our own backyard...
August was an awesome month!!!
